Race Description:

San Diego's original and longest-standing Thanksgiving Day turkey trot. Join over 7,500 participants and spectators for one of the most family-oriented holiday traditions!

Event offers a Post Race Festival featuring: Live Music, Beer Garden, Costume Contest and Award Ceremonies. Most importantly, this event provides a great atmosphere for your family to participate in the beauty of giving back to others.


Proceeds from this event will go towards helping Father Joe's Villages prepare and serve over 1 million meals to our homeless neighbors in need.

6:30AM -  Registration opens at Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park

  • Don't miss out on the Pancake Breakfast, served by the Knights of Columbus - $5 per plate

6:30AM -  (Optional) Roman Catholic Mass at stage in Plaza De Panama

  • Featuring the choir of Mary Star of the Sea

7:35AM -  Speedy Turkey (Timed) Race Begins

7:40AM -  Fun Runner (Untimed) Race Begins

7:45AM -  Registration Closes

8:15AM -  Start Line is Closed - NO MORE RUNNERS

8:30AM - Post Race Festival


The course begins on 6th and Laurel, heads through San Diego's beautiful Balboa Park, and finishes just in time for you to get home for Thanksgiving Dinner!
